Olly’s got a passion for gr-Eighties

OLLY Alexander is set to release music inspired by his role in 80s drama It’s A Sin.

After filming the series, the Years And Years frontman is hooked on the sound from that era of pop.

He said: “The music in the 80s is phenomenal, but it was really the spirit of those songs that got played in the clubs and on the dancefloor, and the spirit of crying – of dancing through the pain.

“I really feel like this era epitomised that and that’s just so inspiring.”

As you can see, Olly gets the chance to belt out a tune on the show with co-star Lydia West.

This show is penned by Russell T Davies, so you know it’s going to be shocking, heartwarming and bloody brilliant telly.

It’s A Sin is on Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
