Dan & Charl are double tops

- By JOHN WARD

THE darts walk-on girls who were axed in a PC storm say they are more in demand than ever.

Fans were outraged when Daniella Allfree and Charlotte Wood were sacked in January 2018.

The decision was blamed on snowflakes who believed their role escorting players to the oche was not politically correct.

But now Daniella and Charlotte have hit a career bullseye and say they would not go back to their previous jobs even if the Professional Darts Company, which runs the big competitions, changed their minds. Charlotte says they are very popular at exhibition matches, and their calendars are flying off the shelves. She said: “They might not be able to see us on TV but people are still really keen to see us in the flesh.

‘It’s been three years since we were axed from the darts and our calendars seem to be in more demand than ever.

“We are both so overwhelmed every year. We have amazing fans, many who are women, which is nice.”
