TESLA NETWORK CHARGES AHEAD

-

With electric vehicles, the short-term emphasis needs to be on the public charging network, not the cars’ range. Which is why this survey from EV mapping service Zap-Map caught my attention. It quizzed its users on the reliability and ease of use of charging networks, and ranked them.

The top ranking provider, and this comes as no surprise, was Tesla with its Supercharger network.

Second was InstaVolt, which unlike Tesla is a multi-brand network. Tesla scored 4.8 out of 5 and InstaVolt 4.4.

The UK’s second largest rapid charger provider, bp pulse, was 13th with a poor score of 2.9. It’s a fascinating subject that gets more relevant as EV sales rise.
