Outraged Tindall’s left effing & Jeffing

- TOM PRENTKI

BOURNEMOUTH boss Jason Tindall slammed the “outrageous decision” to send off Jefferson Lerma and blamed ref David Webb for his team’s defeat to Luton.

Colombian Lerma was involved in a clash which left Tom Lockyer with a facial cut.

Hatters manager Nathan Jones confirmed later that the defender had suffered concussion.

But Tindall said: “It was a pivotal moment.

“Jeff’s gone up for a header, one of their lads has knocked him off balance and he caught him with his trailing arm.

“When a decision is that blatantly wrong you can’t help but be angry and even at half-time the lads couldn’t believe it.”

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored the only goal when he finished crisply into the far corner midway through the second half.

Jones added: “Bournemouth are a fantastic side at this level. They’ve been recruiting for the Premier League so we knew we’d have to really do well to get something here.”

Asmir Begovic made three brilliant saves at the start of the second half to keep Bournemouth level.

First he threw out an arm to deny Glen Rea and then pulled off a stunning double save from Luke Berry from close range and then Dewsbury-Hall from the follow-up.

The closest the hosts came was when Josh King slid the ball to Dominic Solanke whose goalbound shot was flicked around the post by Dan Potts’ challenge.
