Nigel has a lot two do to make Prem

NIGEL PEARSON has warned Bristol City it will take at least two years for the struggling Robins to achieve their Premier League dream.

Interim boss Pearson saw his team suffer a seventh straight home Championship defeat at the hands of Stoke on Friday, as they plummet down the table.

But billionaire owner Stephen Lansdown is desperate to see his team in the top flight and last week they moved into a state-of-theart new training facility.

Pearson said: “If our aspirations are to be a Premier

League side then we’ve probably got between four and six transfer windows to create a squad.

“If there are expectations for us to be really expressive in the next transfer window then I think people are going to be disappointed. We will have to be inventive.

“I believe in being transparent and the timeline of wanting to be in the Premier League will be impacted by the economic state of the game.”

Meanwhile, Michael Rose (below) suffered a double balls up on Friday which has made him a big doubt for struggling Coventry’s crunch game at home to the Robins tomorrow.

Rose scored an own goal in the 3-0 defeat at QPR before hobbling off with an injury manager Mark Robins could barely describe without wincing. Robins said: “He has a gash to a part of his anatomy I daren’t mention but needless to say he is limping.

“I think he will be a doubt for Monday. It is tender but we will see.”

Robins will be able to call on central defender Kyle McFadzean who is available again after a two-game suspension.
