Blue skies on way for Jonas

SWANKY HOME ON IBIZA AFTER NEW DEAL

-

JONAS Blue is searching for a bigger Ibiza pad after agreeing a new record deal.

The star will put pen to paper on a contract with Positiva/EMI after more than 12billion global streams and 60million singles sales in five years.

It means the hitmaker’s dream of buying a home on the white isle where he DJs every summer is finally in sight.

Jonas, real name

Guy Robin, told me: “I’m about to re-sign my record deal next year, so more money in the bank and that means a slightly bigger place in Ibiza.

“I had somewhere that was about to complete. It didn’t happen because of legal reasons, so I’m looking for something else.”

The pandemic means practically no clubs have been open on the Spanish island in more than a year.

Jonas sighed: “I managed to get out to Ibiza when the clubs were shut, but it made you discover how beautiful the island is.

“But I really want it to all come back as soon as possible. With the vaccine rollout we need to get back to the life we had.

“There might still be restrictions, but people need to enjoy life again. Dancing and festivals, clubs are so important to our lives. I can’t wait to get back see people there.”

Jonas Blue is currently climbing the charts again with Something Stupid featuring singer AWA, who he’s pictured with below.

He is due to perform at Creamfields this summer but is aware many festivals around the world may not happen: “Europe might be a struggle this year but then there’s places like Israel and Dubai and Saudi that might be on.”

In the meantime he’s prepping a series of anthems for when people can start dancing again.

He added: “This year is dancefocused and back to my roots.

“We have four singles, two collabs I’m working on. The next one is another up-and-coming artist.

She is incredible.”
