I’m going to El when I croak it

JOANNA’S DREAMING OF ETERNITY WITH PRESLEY

- ■ by JOHN WARD john.ward@dailystar.co.uk

JOANNA Lumley plans to get between the sheets with Elvis in the afterlife – and has told his ex-wife Priscilla.

The Ab Fab star, 74, said she wants Tutankhamun’s funerary double bed.

And asked who she would share it with, she said: “Elvis, he didn’t know it, but he was obviously waiting for me. I’ve talked to Priscilla about this.

“I said, ‘Do you know, if he’d met me, your life would have been very different.’ The world has been in love with Elvis, for ever and ever and ever.”

The former model, married to conductor Stephen Barlow, 66, revealed her plans for eternity on Esther Rantzen’s What’s After Life podcast.

Joanna added of her choice of bed partner: “My husband is younger than me and might not have died by then. It would have to be Elvis.”

She went on: “If I wasn’t married to Stevie, I’m not sure I would be married. Marriage is staggeringly difficult to accomplish.

“It might have been my mother... who said, ‘Don’t marry somebody you think you could be married to and you love very much, marry somebody who you literally can’t live without.’”

Joanna also said she’d be brought back to life by sniffing a potion ancient Egyptians regarded as the key to life.

It appears in hieroglyphs as a symbol called an ankh, representing the word for “life”. Joanna said: “The Egyptians get given a sniff of the ankh that sniffs you back to life and you get up again on the other side.

“I can hardly wait to sniff the ankh, whisk through… there I’d be.”
