STACEY’S HOUSE PARTY BACK

Guessing game tipped for second series

-

STACEY Dooley’s game show This Is My House is to return for a second series, Hot TV can reveal.

Bosses at the BBC have secretly agreed they want to bring it back.

Another run is due to be officially commissioned within weeks.

A Beeb insider said: “This Is My House has been getting a fantastic reaction. People have been going crazy for it on social media, and the ratings have been strong for its slot.

“The top brass at the BBC want to give it another whirl.

“They think if it returns for another series it could really catch on and become one of the most talked-about shows on TV. Everyone involved is thrilled it has been a success.” In the show, four people with the same name all claim a property belongs to them.

It is then up to a panel of celebrity detectives to work out which of them is telling the truth.

The show has become a cult hit because it is so addictive.

Celebs who have appeared on the panel include comedian Bill Bailey, actress Emily Atack and Loose Women star Judi Love.

And bosses want to get more famous faces for the next series.

Presenter Stacey has become the BBC’s golden girl.

Since winning Strictly in 2018 she has fronted a string of high-profile shows for the corporation. They include make-up contest Glow Up, an EastEnders spin-off and a number of documentaries.

An industry source said: “Stacey is fast becoming one of the BBC’s hottest properties. Everything she touches turns to gold.

“In the wrong hands, This Is My House could have gone under the radar. But with her relaxed presenting style it has struck a chord with viewers.”

Telly isn’t exactly short of guessing games these days, with The Masked Singer, The Masked Dancer, I Can See Your Voice and, erm, Celebrity Catchphrase. But after a miserable year, it’s no surprise people want to watch something a bit silly.
