Singer thrilled to return with Ant & Dec
FLEUR East has signed up for another series of Saturday Night Takeaway.
The singer will be back on duty as the show’s competition guru when it returns to telly in the spring.
She told me: “I’m excited to be going back.
When they asked me if I wanted to do the next series, I was like, ‘Is this even a question?’”
Fleur was offered a bigmoney deal to return to the show after getting backing from hosts Ant and Dec.
And, understandably, she is pretty happy about it. She said: “At the end of the last series, Ant and Dec told me they had requested to have me on the show. That was such a huge honour. “I grew up watching them and they’re so seasoned.
“So the fact that they support me and want me as part of their show is amazing.”
Fleur will definitely be hitting her 10,000 daily steps on Saturdays when the new series kicks off because she’ll be going all over the country once again.
She said: “I love being out and about. I’m a people person.
“I’m in my element. And on the new series, the stuff I’ll be doing is going to be even bigger than before.
“Saturday Night Takeaway is so many shows in one. There’s acting, singing and dancing.
“It’s so good. There are a lot of laughs.”
Fleur is carving out a career as a presenter with projects including the game show The Void – and she’s learning from the best.
She said: “Being on Saturday Night Takeaway is like the best work experience ever.
“I take notes. I’m learning from Ant and Dec all the time.”
