ANDERTON: NUNO THE RIGHT
NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO will soon prove the doubters wrong at Tottenham.
The Portuguese was drafted in this summer following a four-year stint with Wolves.
His appointment raised some eyebrows among the North London faithful but not with former Spurs favourite Darren Anderton.

Spurs suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend.
Anderton (right) who made more than 350 appearances for Tottenham, says Nuno, 47, will make his mark.
“I’m excited to see what he can do, if he’s given time,” he said. “Under Jose Mourinho, it was disappointing. Going from watching excellent football and being involved in great matches to being a ‘Mourinho team’. It was dire to watch and that’s okay if you win trophies and win matches – but that wasn’t happening either.
“Nuno was such an important appointment and Spurs got a lot of stick for how long it took.
“But they did the right thing in taking their time and they got the right man.
“People say that he wasn’t first choice, but he is a top manager. I love what he did at Wolves and the way that his teams played football.
“The players he brought into
Wolves were outstanding. I really do believe in his judgment when it comes to players and his ability as a coach.”
Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane will face off today and Anderton has hailed the former Inter Milan ace, but reckons Kane has the edge when it comes to all-round play.
“Kane is better overall but Lukaku’s strength is astonishing,” he added.
