AN AMAZING comeback by Coventry saw them rub out two powerpacked, first-half goals by buoyant Blackburn.

The Sky Blues hit back with their own double strike in a six-minute second-half blitz.

Until then, it looked as though there would be more away-day agony for Mark Robins’ side, who arrived having lost three of their previous five games on the road.

But Coventry striker Tyler Walker netted superbly after Sam Gallagher gave the ball away to Todd Kane.

And five minutes later Thomas Kaminski scored an own goal as Liam Kelly’s effort hit a post then bounced off the Rovers keeper’s back and into the net.

The comeback in front of 4,000 travelling fans had Coventry boss Robins saying: “It shows what you can do if the team shows bravery.

“We know we are a good side when we are brave and applied.

“Tyler’s goal gave us the impetus we needed.”

Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray said: “We shot ourselves in the foot.

“We made errors for their goals and their big following gave them a lift. It was frustrating to get ahead and let it slip.”

For much of the first half Coventry were second best and Rovers midfielder Joe Rothwell hit a stunning opener on 39 minutes and then produced a perfect set-up for Gallagher to strike in the 45th minute.

But the Sky Blues launched a brilliant fightback and a draw was a fair result.
