This one is a real Musso win tie

- CHRIS HATHERALL

ATALANTA goalkeeper Juan Musso has piled the pressure on Manchester United ahead of a Champions League tie in midweek, saying, “You aren’t better than us.”

United return to European action on Tuesday, desperate to offset their inconsistent Premier League form by reaching the Last 16.

But despite going into the match as leaders of Group F and having beaten Atalanta 3-2 in their most recent tie, Musso reckons the pressure is entirely on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

His team were 2-0 ahead at Old Trafford before eventually losing

3-2 in that fixture, thanks to a rousing fightback by United which culminated in Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a late winner. But Musso wasn’t impressed.

“That defeat was totally unjust,” said the Argentina international.

“And that goal from Ronaldo doesn’t mean United were the better team. They weren’t. We deserved a draw at the very least.

“To face them again is a very special match for us because it’s a chance to prove a point and have a chance of reaching the next round.

“I’m sincere when I say that Manchester United is not superior to Atalanta.

“We always respect our rivals but we know we can beat them this time. They aren’t better than us.”

That statement should strike fear into Solskjaer’s men because although they sit top of the table, they are only two points ahead of Villarreal and Atalanta – who could both overtake them if things went wrong in Italy.

And Musso, 27, added: “Cristiano Ronaldo is a star worldwide, of course, and in any moment he can change a game – as he did against us at Old Trafford. But we’re not obsessed with him.”

The Italians scored a last-minute equaliser in a

2-2 draw against Lazio yesterday.
