‘KAI AND I GET ON SO WELL.. IT’S EXCITING’
AJ meets ‘lovely’ family
AJ Odudu has revealed she has already met her Strictly partner’s family.
The presenter reportedly started dating hunky pro dancer Kai Widdrington after they were paired on the BBC show.
And AJ has now stoked rumours that they have taken things to the next level.
The 33-year-old told the Daily Star Sunday: “I met Kai’s mum and had a conversation with her on FaceTime, then I met his brother and I’ve met his sister. I’m so excited. “Honestly, Kai has got such a lovely family. I’ve met them all now. Meeting the parents!”
Kai’s dad and stepmum were in the studio audience last night to cheer on the duo.
The pair are also a big hit with AJ’s family. She said: “My little nephew got jealous on my behalf when Kai was dancing with Nadiya in the pro dance. He’s a cheeky little menace. “You know what kids are like. It’s all very exciting for them hearing the rumours.”
AJ and Kai, 26, are now so close that even the judges have commented on it.
Last weekend, Motsi Mabuse said: “The best part of you two is the chemistry between you. You were so together. You’ve just become one.” Their “romance” has made them one of the most talked-about couples on this year’s series – and AJ is thrilled.
She said: “Me and Kai get on so well. It’s great for people to see how much fun we’re having.
“I find it exciting that people are interested in us enough to take note of all these things. Everyone can see how well we’re getting on.
“It’s all a bit of fun. It’s all fun and games. We are focused on the dancing and putting our best foot forward each and every week.
“It’s such a fun and exciting experience.”
AJ and Kai are the latest in a long line of couples to get close on the dance show.
It comes after rival pairing Katya Jones and Adam Peaty teased viewers when they looked as though they were about to kiss in one routine.
