I HAVE been waiting for Joseph O’Brien to run DARASSO (1.10) over a decent trip over hurdles again and I fancy he can make his guaranteed fitness tell in the Grade Two Lismullen Hurdle at Navan.

This classy dualpurpose charge ran a cracker behind Saldier at Tipperary last month and back on the good ground which serves him so well, the selection may be able to surprise the likes of World Hurdle winner Flooring

Porter and last year’s winner Sire Du Berlais.

However, if you are looking for a real outsider to hang your coat on, then have a second look at

THOUSAND TEARS

(1.45) in the handicap hurdle.

The six-year-old gelding looked desperately unlucky at Galway last time out when his saddle slipped.

And although this looks a tougher contest for the John Burke charge, he could be the best value bet on the card.

Also sure to start at a double-figure price, the return to a sound surface looks hugely in the favour of the very lightly raced yet promising PEARLAND

(2.20).

This will be only his fifth timber-topping start.

And in a race with many looking to have worthy chances, he gets the value nod over the likes of Tullyveery Lad and Room To Roam.

My Mate Mozzie

(12.40) puts his 100% winning record (three wins so far) on the line in the Grade Three For Auction Novice Hurdle but may have to give best to BOOTHEN BOY.

Gordon Elliott (above) is on a mighty winning streak at the moment and his charge was hugely impressive at Downpatrick last month.

I predict he will be able to take this step up in class in his stride.
