GAME, SEX AND MATCH

‘No romps’ warning to frisky Wimbo campers

RANDY tennis fans have been warned against getting down to steamy doubles action near Wimbledon.

Residents walking their dogs are sick of stumbling across sex and drugs parties during the famous tournament, which starts tomorrow.

The sporting event attracts hundreds of campers to Wimbledon Park.

But nearby woodland is also a regular haunt of swingers and doggers.

And one worried resident has pinned a note to a tree near a car park entrance that reads: “Game Sex and Match NO THANKS.

“Visiting tennis fans please respect our park and woodland. Anti-social behaviour such as drugs, booze and sex parties will not be tolerated. Police patrol this area regularly and you have been warned. Thanks for your consideration. Enjoy the tennis!”

Wimbledon Park sits across the road from the All England Club and backs on to the Wimbledon Park Golf Club.

Famous members of the prestige golf venue include Ant and Dec and broadcaster Piers Morgan.

The area, where property prices start at £3million, is a haven for young families, dog walkers and joggers.

But swingers and doggers also regularly gather in the secluded car park.

During Wimbledon fortnight it is closed. But that hasn’t stopped couples from enjoying some alfresco fun.

In a post earlier this month, Dogging Action reported: “It will soon be Wimbledon fortnight down in southwest London.

“And for some reason I always get extra horny around this time of year.

“Maybe it’s the thought of watching all those tanned fit ladies in short skirts running around.

“Seems it’s not just me though, because there’s a car park just yards from the All England Tennis club where randy doggers regularly meet for outdoor sex sessions.”

Friends of Wimbledon Park regularly look after the woodland clearing litter and the remains of anti-social parties.

One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “In the summer all sorts goes on in the woods.

“But during Wimbledon fortnight, especially if the weather gets hot, people get carried away and pop into the woods.

“I’ve seen couples having sex, drugs parties, everything really.

“With so many fans camping in the park it turns into a big party after dark and people just get carried away, especially if they’ve been knocking back the Pimms all day.

“We’ve put notices up in the past, but they just get ripped down.

“Hopefully, the police will step up their patrols this year and kick out anyone they catch wanting a love match.”
