Plug-ugly Bozo powering down

-

WILL the last person to leave the UK please turn out the lights.

That won’t be a problem – come next year no-one will be able to afford to turn them on anyway.

Unless you happen to work for a chiselling energy firm.

What is going on?

I get it that Boris “Bozo” Johnson is a bit demob happy, but his inaction is bordering on taking the p*ss.

The country is facing an energy price crisis that will push millions into poverty and the bumbling buffoon is doing nowt.

Is he sitting there rubbing his hands at the prospect of the country in meltdown, maniacally giggling and muttering to himself: “That will teach you for getting rid of me!”? It wouldn’t surprise me.

He is still claiming his salary for being PM yet is gleefully not doing the job. There was shock that he even bothered to turn up at a meeting with energy providers this week. He shouldn’t have bothered, for all the good it did.

It seems the Government did nothing more than ask the fat cats who are making billions from energy costs: “Please can you drop your prices, pretty please with sugar on top?”

Unsurprisingly, the oil barons would sooner let half the population die of hypothermia before daring to see

their profits dip even a drop. Was it the energy companies who elected these idiots into power or was it us, the British people, many of whom are facing financial ruin due to energy costs?

So why aren’t our MPs doing anything to fix this before we’re forced to pay five grand a year for gas and electric.

Just across the Channel, the French President is taking action.

Emmanuel Macron has frozen gas prices, capped electricity rises at 4% and begun to nationalise the industry.

Meanwhile, Bozo says it will be up to his successor, Tweedle Dumb or Tweedle Dumber, to sort it out.

Liz Truss has already said she won’t be doing much to help the poor and won’t tax the energy firms. So if you think it’s bad under Bozo, just wait for Truss-ty the clown.

At least you’ll be able to warm your hands as the

country burns.
