WHO would have thought that one of the more exciting games this weekend would be 10th versus ninth?

In the last few years that would have been unheard of. Those sort of games meant very little.

OK, a side that low might have still sneaked into the play-offs – probably only to lose in the first knockout game. But this season, under the new structure, eight teams are still flirting with either a top-four finish or a relegation scrap.
