WE’LL CRUSH DREAM Spurs ace Nacer ready for Welsh

- By NEIL MARTIN and RALPH ELLIS

NACER CHADLI has warned Wales that Belgium could crush their 58-year-old dreams in just 90 minutes tomorrow night.

The Welsh are tantalisingly close to qualifying for their first major tournament since 1958, with a place at Euro 2016 in their control.

Chris Coleman’s side are level with Belgium on 11 points at the top of Group B ahead of their clash in Cardiff.

But Tottenham winger Chadli reckons Wales will be scrabbling for the second qualifying spot if Belgium beat them.

He said: “I think it is between us two now because we are a bit ahead of the other countries and we still have some easy games after that.

“This is a game that we cannot lose and we always try to win every time. So we have to do our best.”

Chadli insists Belgium have nothing to fear from Gareth Bale after keeping the Real Madrid star quiet in November’s 0-0 draw in Brussels.

“How do we stop Bale?” he said.

“Just like we did last time! I think we have great defenders.”

James Chester is hoping to turn the tables on Eden Hazard after once being taught a lesson by the Chelsea playmaker.

The Hull defender recalls being given the runaround by Hazard in his side’s first match after winning promotion to the Premier League.

He said: “That was the toughest day I’ve had in my career and it opened my eyes to the ability the top players have got.

“It was a level I had not experienced before and it made me realise just how hard I needed to work to improve.

“I’ve probably got to thank him, really, because I believe that experience was a bit of a turning point for me as a player.

“It told me what I had to do to get better, and this season I have improved both as a club and international player.

“I think, as a whole squad, when we came off the pitch in Belgium it was a big feeling. It gave us confidence that we are more than worthy to be competing against these top teams.

“And, as an individual, it told me I was improving, and that was a good feeling.”

MANCHESTER United and Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini will miss the Cardiff clash after picking up a groin strain in training.
