MORE fool anyone who thinks Amy Childs is stupid.
The Essex girl has topped the Towie Rich List with a multi-million pound fortune, and owns a portfolio of businesses as well as a property empire. Not bad for a dolly bird from Brentwood... And now the 25-year-old former reality star is launching a business book to show others that if she can do it – so can you.
Amy, who earned more than £5m in the last five years, explains: “People call me stupid, they always have. But more fool them. “I get it. And it does hurt me. “But I’m having the last laugh. People are actually shocked when they see how I’ve done this. I have learned to stop getting upset and rise above it.
“People have underestimated me, but that’s their problem, not mine.”
Amy’s new book will chart her rise to fame as well as how she made her fortune. She says: “I’ve always wanted to do my own book but I didn’t want to do an autobiography. stead I go into schools and colleges and t to young people about my story and wan inspire others. I am severely dyslexic a school was a big struggle for me.
“I found it really tough and it got me rea down. I was always at the bottom of the cla So I want to show people that they can s make it.
“I remember my headmaster at school s ing he believed in me and that I wo succeed because I wanted it more than a one else.
“Seeing the Towie rich list does make proud. I can’t believe it sometimes. I feel v lucky that this happened to me.”
