Sharing a bed to save
Teen in murder bid quiz
ONE in 10 young adults is considering sharing a bed with someone to avoid rising rents.
Some of the 25- to 35-year- olds questioned by comparethemarket said they had even slept under the stairs, in cupboards and in a treehouse at pals’ properties to save on rent.
Gemma Sonfield of comparethemarket said: “Continuously rising accommodation costs across the UK, and particularly in big cities, is causing a housing crisis.” POLICE probing a riot in London’s Hyde Park on the hottest day of the year have arrested a teenager on suspicion of attempted murder.
The 18-year-old was held in a dawn raid in connection with the violence on July 19 and remains in police custody.
Three people, including a policeman, were stabbed and another officer went to hospital after being hit by a bottle. Police have now held 11 over the riot.
