MANCHESTER United wonderkid Marcus Rashford has thanked his mum for teaching him to kick a football by moving her into a mansion.

The 18-year-old England star is forking out £5,000 a month to rent the pad for Melanie.

The home is in upmarket Hale, Cheshire – three miles from the council estate in Wythenshawe where young Marcus grew up. It has four bathrooms, a media suite and a sauna in the garden.

The striker, who has signed a £25,000-a-week contract, always promised to look after single mum Melanie and his family once he made it big.

Ground

When he scored on his England international debut Melanie, who played football with him when he was a child, said: “I’ll be doing my best to help him stay grounded.

“We are doing a great job as a family to keep his feet on the ground.

“We don’t do champagne. But we are certainly celebrating Marcus’s achievement.”

Melanie’s new neighbours have spotted a Mercedes on the drive of the threestorey property which is valued at around £800,000.

But the home is only a stop-gap for her and his brothers Dwaine and Dane who have moved in with their mum.

Marcus, whose injury time winner against Hull City on Saturday maintained new boss Jose Mourinho’s 100% record, is having a £1million home built nearby. You Win. Good Causes Win. Everybody Wins.
