- By GRAHAM NICKLESS

JAMES NORWOOD fired unbeaten Tranmere three points clear at the top with his fifth goal of the season against rock-bottom Guiseley.

The Rovers striker denied his old club Forest Green a place at the summit when he found the net five minutes before the break.

Forest Green are on a charge after scoring their NINTH Bank Holiday goal by thumping 10-man Southport 5-1 at the New Lawn.

Target

Ex-Yeovil striker Kieffer Moore scored twice for Mark Cooper’s side with Mohamed Chemlal, Charlie Clough and Rhys Murphy also on target.

Slick Lincoln moved above Dagenham into third after beating Gateshead 3-0 to make it their best start to a season for 10 years.

Sean Raggett, Nathan Arnold and Adam Marriott were on the scoresheet as the Imps notched their fifth win from seven games.

Lincoln chief Danny Cowley said: “We have beaten tough opponents in Macclesfield and Gateshead over the weekend but it’s early days and we won’t get carried away.”

The Daggers slipped up 1-0 against 10-man Sutton who went ahead early through Bradley Hudson-Odoi before Simon Downer was dismissed four minutes from time.

Gary Waddock is also enjoying his time back in charge at Aldershot, who won 2-1 at Dover.

New boss Ronnie Moore’s magic is already rubbing off on Eastleigh who spanked 10-man Bromley 5-0 away with Frenchman Mikael Mandron bagging a hat-trick.
