MEATY PEATY

Olympic ace pigs out on Big Macs

SWIMMING hunk Adam Peaty has been munching his way through eight McDonald’s burgers a day since Rio.

The 21-year-old broke the world record when he won gold in the 100m breaststroke.

But he revealed he has not stopped tucking into the greasy treats since his final race, where he landed silver in the 4x100m relay.

He has been eating six quarter-pounders and two Big Macs a time, washing them down with four ice creams.

One Big Mac carries 563 calories, a quarter pounder has 510 and a regular McFlurry has 556.

That means Peaty has been putting away around 6,620 calories a day from McDonald’s. The recommended calorie total for the average man is 2,500. Peaty, of Uttoxeter, Staffs, said: “A typical lunch for me would consist of loads of Big Macs, quarter pounders and four McFlurries. “I have been eating it every day.” He and his athlete pals made the most of free grub from the fast food joint in the Olympic village. They carried out “supply runs” every morning to bring back “20 burgers each”, he joked. The calorific grub is sure to set him up for a booze blowout planned with pals back home. “It’ll be pretty mental,” he said.
