MPs in death threats ordeal
POLICE are investigating death threats sent to dozens of MPs, including David Cameron.
The email was accompanied by a gruesome photo of a decapitated man and the words: “I will kill you and your family.”
More than 50 MPs are said to have received the threat including Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
Security has been stepped up around those who have been targeted.
Their families, staff, homes and constituency offices have also been given extra protection.
The move comes amid mounting concern for the safety of Britain’s politicians, prompted by the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox.
She was shot three times and stabbed to death in broad daylight in Birstall, West Yorks, in June this year.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “The Metropolitan Police Service are investigating a linked series of threatening emails.”
Labour’s Chris Bryant said: “In the last year there has been a slew of these, I’ve received five or six.”
