Race for hot hatch

A SUPER-hot hatch from the Eighties is set to sell for £120,000 at auction.

The MG Metro 6R4 – of which only 205 were made – was so quick it was a surprise inclusion in the World Rally Championship.

Bonhams’ Tim Schofield said: “It could well sell to a racer as it’s in good enough condition to compete.”

The car will be auctioned at the Goodwood Revival sale on September 10.
