A TEACHER has been struck off for sleeping with her 17-yearold student on his high school prom night.
Devout Christian Isabelle Graham, 28, repeatedly “engaged in sexual activity” with the teenager in a Travelodge after drinking four glasses of wine.
She claimed she was “the victim”, that she could not remember any of it and that her drink had been spiked.
But a lawyer for the General Teaching Council for Scotland dismissed her claim as “speculation” and a hearing found she had been boozing in bed with the lad.
Ms Graham, who now lives abroad, was engaged at the time and has married Andrew Wilkie, who is training to join the clergy.
Asleep
Ms Graham said she was an “active and practising Christian” who was “waiting until marriage” before having sex. Mr Wilkie said he had “no doubt” the allegations were false. But a photograph emerged on social media which showed the former French teacher in bed, with the student yards from her. A caption caption described her as “disgusting”. A GTCS hearing heard Mrs Graham and the schoolboy were alone for three hours after the lad’s leavers’ bash in Edinburgh. The former teacher at Whitburn Academy, West Lothian, was judged unfit to teach and barred from the profession by the disciplinary panel. A probe was launched when senior staff at Whitburn Academy, West Lothian, became aware of the snap on social media.
