Sakho’s told to quit Kop

- By CHRIS McKENNA

MAMADOU SAKHO has been told to find another club or face being left out in the cold at Liverpool.

The Reds defender has been relegated to fifth in the pecking order at Anfield.

Kop boss Jurgen Klopp wants Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip to be his regular centre-back pairing.

Summer signing Ragnar Klavan is a back-up while Joe Gomez is getting back to fitness after knee and Achilles injuries.

Sakho was sent home from Liverpool’s summer tour and was then out with an Achilles problem.

But Klopp wants him to find a new club, with West Brom interested.

Rescue

Baggies boss Tony Pulis was prepared to offer £20m to bring him to The Hawthorns but Sakho said he was not interested.

The France defender has also turned down a loan move to Stoke.

Mario Balotelli is on his way out, however, with Nice keen to rescue the Italian.

It will end another sorry saga in the striker’s career after he joined Liverpool in August 2014 for £16m from AC Milan.

Balotelli scored just four times as the club’s punt on the former Manchester City man backfired.

Out-of-favour Serbian winger Lazar Markovic could also be on the way out.
