16-year-old boy were quizzed then released on bail. A sixth boy, aged 15, was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Eric Hind, organiser of Saturday’s protest, said: “We want the march to show our solidarity and unity.” Local MP Robert Halfon said violence in the area was making residents afraid to speak their native language.

While visiting the scene with Polish ambassador Arkady Rzegocki, he said: “It’s not just a tragedy for the family, the Polish community, it’s for all of Harlow.”

AN ex-policeman whose two colleagues were murdered by gangster Dale Cregan has been found dead in a suspected suicide.

Andy Summerscales, 46, was one of the first officers on the scene of the bloodbath. Cregan, who was already wanted for a double murder of a father and son, lured Pcs Nicola Hughes, 23, and Fiona Bone, 32, with a bogus call before killing them in a gun and grenade attack in Hattersley, near Manchester.

Mr Summerscales was haunted by the horrific sight he found in September 2012.

It traumatised him and left him in immense pain, according to upset former colleagues last night. His body was found at around 7.20am on Tuesday in a park in Stalybridge. A file has been prepared for the coroner.

Tributes were paid to Mr Summerscales who left Greater Manchester Police last November after 15 years.

On one police website a message read: “Our thoughts and tears are with our G Division friend. Rest easy Andy.”

One-eyed Cregan, 33, is serving a whole life sentence.
