Girl, 14, is abducted as sex fiend uses hug trick
A SEX attacker hugged a 14-year-old girl as she walked to school before bundling her into a car and raping her.
The terrified victim was driven to woodland and subjected to a four-hour attack by two men.
The girl was snatched as she walked in school uniform along a busy main road in Oxford at 8.25am.
Police think one of her abductors gave her a hug to make passers by think she knew them before she was pulled into a silver VW hatchback.
Det Supt Chris Ward said: “As a parent myself I know how upsetting this is for people and how shocking it is.
“She was abducted and sustained a serious sexual assault.
“More than one person committed the offence.”
The teenager’s school did not inform her parents when she failed to turn up on Wednesday morning.
She was found at midday by police after she knocked on doors in the city’s Marston district about a mile from where she was snatched.
Last night forensic officers were combing nearby woods.
It is unclear whether the girl was released by her captors or escaped.
There is no suggestion she knew the pair.

DS Ward said: “She is extremely traumatised. We are trying to tease information out of her.
“It is important we do everything we can to catch these people as quickly as possible.”
Children who walk to school in Oxford have been warned to try to stay in groups.
A 19-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Headington, Oxford by two men in their 20s on Sunday but police have not yet linked the attacks.
