SAM Allardyce is poised to earn another £1million by revealing the truth about the Three Lions job in an explosive new book.
SAM Allardyce could be holed up in his Spanish villa for months penning a £1million book about his downfall.
Publishers were said to be queuing “all the way to Benidorm” .
They are after the rights to his account of his 67 days as Three Lions manager. Allardyce was forced to quit after he was secretly filmed chasing a £400,000 deal to top up his £3million salary.
Meanwhile, police have begun probing bribery and corruption claims against other managers made in a newspaper. Detectives have spoken to the Football Association and journalists involved, City of London Police confirmed.
No formal allegations of criminal activity have been received.
Meanwhile a book deal and a telly or movie tie-in could net Allardyce at least £1m after his £1m FA pay-off.
A publishing source said yesterday: “There are few guaranteed hits in this business – but this is one.
“If I was Sam I’d be writing it now.
“They’ll be publishing houses queuing all the way to Benidorm for it.
“He’s sitting on the hottest story in football.
“Perhaps it’s an irony that the one thing he won’t have to worry about is money.’’

Allardyce flew to his £1.5m villa in the Costa Blanca resort of Moraira hours after being ousted as England boss after just one match. Last night David Ingham, 81, and his wife Pat, who described themselves as lifelong pals, arrived at the four-storey Spanish mansion for dinner with Allardyce and his wife Lynne. David, from Bolton, said: “I’ve known Sam for 40 years since he was a young Bolton player and he’s a lovely man, a real family man. He added: “He’s the compere every year for a charity do for Cancer Research where thousands of pounds are raised. “He’s being painted as a greedy money grabber but that’s not the man I know.”
