Mudflat pair ‘in suicide’

A COUPLE whose bodies were found on a river mudbank are believed to have died in a suicide pact.

The man and woman, both in their 60s, were discovered at Breydon Water, near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, on Thursday.

It is not known how long their bodies had been stuck on the bank, which is in a tidal area.

Police said the incident was not being treated as suspicious and nobody else was wanted in connection with the case.

Officers are still trying to trace the couple’s relatives to tell them about the tragedy.

The causes of death are not yet known.
