‘Rape’ star is injured
FOOTBALLER Ched Evans will not play for his club during his rape retrial which begins next week.
The 27-year-old striker, signed by Chesterfield after his conviction for a sex attack on a teenager was quashed, has been ruled out of the side with a long-term injury.
It means he will not be able to play for the League One club during the case, which is due to begin on Tuesday at Cardiff Crown Court and is expected to last two weeks.
Evans served half of a five-year jail term over the alleged attack at a hotel in Rhyl, Flints, in 2011. THREE in 10 Brits admit having a holiday fling but a poll for Momondo found 48% are happy for partners to go abroad without them.
