KILLER SPIDER ATE MY HAND!
A LORRY driver was left with a hole in his hand after a false widow spider bit him.
Chris Whittock, 57, was working at an agricultural show when the creepy crawly bit him on the hand.
He soon saw red marks spring up on his left hand, right thumb ® and knees. Chris, left, of Frome, Somerset, ignored the bites at first but soon developed an agonising golf ball-sized lump on the back of his hand.
He went to hospital and doctors immediately hooked him up to a drip before slicing open the back of his hand to drain the venomous fluid. And when he glimpsed the hole left by the allergic reaction to the bite, he passed out.
He said: “If you aren’t scared of spiders you ought to be.
“The bite has put me out of action for weeks. People need to be aware of false widow spiders.”
