Mane to lift Anfield men

THE £34 million Liverpool paid Southampton for Sadio Mane is starting to look like a great piece of transfer business.

The Senegalese international has already scored three times for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season and his performances have earned him the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award.

Mane’s fluidity and inspiration has significantly contributed to his team’s fine start to the campaign and the rampant Reds rate the call at BetVictor’s 9-20 to win at Swansea today.

The Swans performed with great credit for the first half against Manchester City before succumbing when City boss Pep Guardiola changed things around after the break. With Swansea yet to fill the gap left by Ashley Williams, I expect Liverpool to follow City’s lead and play tight on Leon Britton.

Fire

Klopp’s side are still capable of conceding but they have plenty of goals throughout the side, so take them to win 3-1 at BetVictor’s odds of 11-1.

Back the always-dangerous Daniel Sturridge to score first at 18-5 but remember to get with Mane to get on the scoresheet at Sky Bet’s 11-8.

Stoke were better defensively against West Brom but the Potters still looked vulnerable at set-pieces. This frailty is likely to cost them at Old Trafford tomorrow where Manchester United are firm 3-10 favourites with stanjames.com, Betfred, BetVictor and Sky Bet.

The Red Devils midfield of Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Paul Pogba is starting to fire with two of that trio scoring in United’s impressive 4-1 win over Leicester last Saturday.

Boss Jose Mourinho will want three points and a clean sheet against the out-of-sorts visitors, so back the home side to run out comfortable 2-0 winners at the 6-1 available with BetVictor.

My double for the weekend is Leicester who should beat Southampton at the King Power after a midweek Champions League victory over Porto; and Arsenal, who thumped Chelsea last week and oozed class when beating Basel on Wednesday.
