Doyle’s to lose – Greg

- By PETER OAKES

® GREG HANCOCK is using mind games to boost his faltering world title bid.

Californian ace Hancock led the way for 13 weeks and five rounds before outsider Jason Doyle, 30, took over at the top of the standings with his third Grand Prix win in a row last weekend.

Aussie Doyle now holds a five-point lead going into the penultimate round in Torun, Poland, tonight.

But Hancock, 46, said: “The pressure has shifted to Jason.

“We’re five points back now but we’ve got two rounds to go and I’m still feeling good.

“In some ways the pressure is off me now.

“When you’re at the top everyone is looking at you and the pressure is there a bit more, but in second you’re the guy chasing and you’ve got nothing to lose. Doyley is the favourite now.”
