KLOPP’S SO COOL

Jurgen calms title talk

- By CHRIS McKENNA

JURGEN KLOPP knows what it takes to challenge for a title.

He spent most of his seven years at Borussia Dortmund battling it out with Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga.

Now he is looking to help Liverpool do the same after an impressive start to the Premier League campaign that has included four wins and a draw.

But the Kop boss is refusing to get carried away just because everything looks rosy now.

“Often in football confidence makes the difference,” he said. ® involved, there is a growing belief on Merseyside that this could be their year. “Hopefully we will stay in a positive situation until the end of the season but we cannot think the next 40 weeks is going to be good, good, good – we have to work,” he added. “That’s the only thing we have to do, stay concentrated, open your mind and play the best football you are able to. “Life taught me that if you celebrate before you even see the line, you will struggle. “We need to use the week that we work together. This season is so different. We could have been in Russia and then on Sunday we would play against Swansea. The difference is massive. “You know the team are not fliers, they are not dreamers, they don’t let their mind’s fly. Most of the players are really serious workers. “We have a few challenges. We have shown our football skills and now we have to work on how we can show they every week. It is about consistency. “I had a year’s break from fighting at the top of the table, but I am used to it. “It is not that you know about this from being a kid, you have to learn it and hopefully we will do well.”
