Cohen sick of nice guys tag

- by DALE REEVES

CHRIS COHEN urged Nottingham Forest to get nasty after they surrendered the lead and slid to defeat.

Apostolos Vellios gave them a first-half lead at Ashton Gate but Tammy Abraham equalised with 25 minutes left.

And three minutes later, Jamie Paterson got his first goal for Bristol City since leaving Forest in the summer.

Bunch

Captain Cohen said: “We have a great bunch of lads and there is a great team spirit.

“But I think that sometimes – and I include myself in this – that we are too nice.

“We need to be more demanding, all of us.

“I don’t think there is anything wrong with tearing a strip off each other out there on the pitch. Some of the good teams I have been in have had some nasty characters in there.

“It is not nice, because you do not want to be shouted at.

“But it is a motivation. You have to have that nasty streak in there.”

Paterson’s winner gave the Robins a fourth successive victory – and they sit fifth.

The 24-year-old said: “Personally it couldn’t have gone any better, could it? Scoring the winner against your former club, it’s like it’s written in the stars.

“It always makes it that little bit sweeter when it’s against your former club.

“But I had a lot of mates out there, so it was a weird day for me.

“When I look back on it now, it’s like a dream come true, scoring the winner against your former club.”
