STRICTLY IN CRISIS OVER BOOB HELL

HIT telly show Strictly Come Dancing was in chaos last night after singer Anastacia was forced to pull out of the dance-off because her boob scars had burst. The pain-racked American, left, was unable to compete against hapless former Xtra Factor host Melvin Odoom, who was then dumped off the show.

STRICTLY Come Dancing was plunged into chaos last night when pop singer Anastacia’s breast cancer scars tore.

The two-time survivor of the disease was unable to compete against former Xtra Factor host Melvin Odoom in the dreaded dance-off.

Show bosses were forced to revert back to the viewer vote to decide which celeb would be leaving and Melvin and partner Janette Manrara lost.

Studio insiders saw Anastacia, 48, having a backstage meltdown after hearing that she could not compete in the dance-off after ripping the scar tissue around her double mastectomy.

A source said: “She looked absolutely distraught – it was very painful to watch.

“The atmosphere in the audience was really tense and studio staff took the judges backstage for an hour to talk things through.”

She now faces crunch talks with top medics to see if she can continue.

On Saturday night’s show Anastacia and dancer partner Brendan Cole performed a modified version of the salsa after the Chicagoborn pop babe sustained an injury during rehearsals.

Sad

Just 24 hours earlier medics ruled it would be unsafe for the star to perform the original intended routine.

Last night Anastacia released a statement saying: “I danced on Saturday even though the doctor had advised me to rest after I ripped the scar tissue around where I had my double mastectomy.

“After that I was unable to dance again and I was devastated that I couldn’t take part in the dance-off.”

She added: “I am so very sad to see Melvin and Janette go.”

Anastacia was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 and battled it again in 2013. Last night Melvin said: “It was unexpected but I care about the people before everything else.

“I love Anastacia, I think she’s a great woman, she’s a great role model and her health comes first before everything else. As much as this is a great show and competition, her health comes first; it’s the way it is.”

The latest crisis follows controversy last week when judge Len Goodman was accused of trying to fix the show for Daisy Lowe.

TV viewers were stunned after he praised highly-rated favourite Danny Mac yet gave Daisy a higher score.

Meanwhile telly babe Laura Whitmore climbed to the top of the leaderboard.

She scooped 32 points for her “sizzling” Waltz with Italian hunk Giovanni Pernice.
