Teens going crusty

THE Great British Bake Off has made teens start spending nights in front of the oven instead of partying.

It is so popular with young viewers, over 300,000 regularly whip up baked treats. And according to a survey by food marketing agency Kindred, home bakers are splashing out an extra £12.5million per month on baking supplies during the show’s run.

Kindred’s Sam Holl said: “The show’s impact on baking habits is strongest among younger people.”
