Blow for brands
SHOPPERS are set to ditch big-brand food products for cheaper supermarket ownlabel goods in the wake of Brexit.
A survey of 2,000 consumers found that most believe food prices have already risen over the past six months.
But two-thirds expect weekly bills to rise further in the coming months, with 40% blaming the decision to quit the EU.
The survey by Retail Economics was for the Dispatches programme Supermarkets: Brexit and Your Shrinking Shop on Channel 4 tonight, 8.00pm.
