32 hours in jams
MOTORISTS in Britain suffer the third worst traffic congestion in Europe.
Drivers spend an average of 32 hours a year in peakperiod jams, says traffic information firm Inrix.
Researchers reckon the cost of hold-ups reached £31billion last year, an average of £968 per driver.
Congestion is most severe in London – the seventh worst city in the world.
Only Russia and Turkey have worse jams.
