50 Shades? No way!

FANTASY NOW A GREY AREA

- By OLIVER PRITCHARD news@dailystar.co.uk

STEAMY Fifty Shades of Grey fantasies are wrecking marriages.

Couples just can’t meet each other’s desires, experts warned.

This sexual dissatisfaction is a leading cause in two-thirds of divorce cases which family law specialists Lake Legal handled in the last year.

Lyn Ayrton, the firm’s managing partner, said: “Movies such as Fifty Shades of Grey and its sequel feature characters acting out their bondage fantasies and depict an ex- citing but highly-stylised view of the physical side to relationships.

“In reality for the vast majority of couples, this couldn’t be further away from the truth.”

She added: “One partner is often more interested than the other. This can often create a massive strain.

“All too often we’ve seen one partner in the relationship having an extra marital affair or one night stand.”

The problem has led to many US couples signing sexual conduct clauses in pre-nuptial agreements.

But Ms Ayrton doesn’t believe they will catch on here.

She said: “Sexual pre-nups clauses would be tough to enforce legally but could also prove to be a passion killer for British couples.”

The Leeds-based firm found that in many cases when a sexual “complaint” is made, it related to the frequency that sex takes place, or where and when it takes place.
