ENGLAND LIONS have left Sri Lanka A needing a daunting 324 more runs to win on the final day in Pallekele.

A rain-affected third day saw the Lions make 215 in their second innings, setting a victory target of 365, before taking two quick wickets to leave Sri Lanka 41-2.

England struck with the opening ball when Tom Curran snared Dimuth Karunaratn­e lbw, then Toby Roland-Jones also trapped Sandun Weerakkody leg before.
