shape. Of course that injury I had earlier in the season might have done me a bit of good, getting a bit more rest.

“I’ve had a good couple of months, it’s important I continue that until the end of the season.”

The seven-week lay-off in Autumn stalled Kane’s efforts to once again be the Premier League’s leading scorer.

But after moving level with Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and Everton hitman Romelu Lukaku at the top of the Premier League goal charts with 17, Kane is eyeing another Golden Boot.

He said: “Of course as a striker you always want to win that. There are a lot of top strikers up there at the minute.

“It would be brilliant to retain that Golden Boot, it’s up there in my house. I would like another one.

“I’ve just got to keep doing what I’m doing.”

Kane is also enjoying proving wrong anyone ® who sneered that he was a one-season wonder. He added: “That motivates me, when people say that. Of course I want to prove them wrong.

“I know I will score goals. It’s nice to break that 20-goal mark again.

“Hopefully I can continue to 25, 30. That’s always the aim.”

Team-mate Eric Dier has warned Dele Alli he will have to get used to opponents trying to wind him up after the midfielder was sent off last week against Gent.

Midfielder Dier said: “He needs to expect players will irritate him, try to get in his head, but he knows that and he handles it very well.

“It’s only normal he will get better at it over time. He is very young and that won’t be the last mistake he makes.

“He will make more mistakes and the most important thing is that he learns from them and reacts in the right way and he does.”
