OLLY Murs is on a strict booze ban for his new tour, especially now he’s single.

The Essex lad launched his 24 HRS tour in Glasgow last night, but there was no post-gig champagne.

Keeping off the sauce is all the harder without a girlfriend.

Olly explained: “If I’ve learned one thing, it’s don’t go out drinking after a show.

“I can’t do it. I’ve tried over the years, but no. It’s not for me.

“Now I’m single that’ll be harder. When I had a girlfriend, like on the last tour, we’d be together or we’d be on the phone chatting, so I wasn’t going out. This is the first tour where I’ve been single in a while, so it’ll be harder to stay professional. But I will.”

Olly split with Francesca Thomas last year but he says it is still tough singing songs about her.

He explained: “At the time it was all very raw and I didn’t really want to talk about it but now we’re a year on and I’m in a very different place. I still have that feeling of missing my ex and things but you have to move on.”

Olly describes his new show as “a story and taking the fans on a fun journey”. He added: “It’s completely different to the last tour, but it’s all about the music.”

Squeezing in all his hits is a struggle though.

He said: “I have five albums so it’s a real competition. I haven’t toured since my last album so there are some that I haven’t played, plus new songs from 24 HRS.”

And what about album number six?

He teased: “If there are songs in me, I’ll do it, but I don’t have any pressure to do it and I can take my time. If I have the gut feeling to make an album then maybe there’ll be an album this year.”
