THE BIG DAY PLEADS NEIL

JUST SAVOUR

- By PAUL BROWN

MILLWALL boss Neil Harris has appealed for both sets of fans to be on their best behaviour at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

The Metropolitan police have classified the League One club’s FA Cup quarter-final clash with Tottenham as a high-risk London derby with an increased chance of disorder.

Millwall have already sold out their 3,681 allocation for the game and both clubs are aware of the potential for crowd trouble.

But Harris, whose side have already knocked out Bournemouth, Watford and Leicester, said: “I’d say to both sets of fans to just come and enjoy the game.

“Certainly, be proud of your team but be loud also. It will be a terrific atmosphere, that’s for sure. Tottenham have got a great following.

“White Hart Lane is a football cathedral for me with a good passionate crowd. It’s the last game at the Lane in the FA Cup.

“Millwall in town with 4,000 fans is going to be an electric atmosphere, one we should embrace and look forward to.

“We talk about good crowds and great atmosphere and it becomes like that because of the size of the tie and the rivalry between London clubs – you get that, definitely.

“Our fans are going to travel in numbers and I want them to enjoy themselves and enjoy an FA Cup quarter-final occasion.

“We’re going in such big numbers, we could have sold it three or four times over because they’re proud of the players they see at the moment.”

Trouble flared at The Den after Millwall beat Leicester when Lions fans invaded the pitch and Foxes supporters fought with police.

Harris said: “Of course you want to paint yourself in the right light as a club.

“It’s a competition that has been good to us this year. We certainly want the focus to be on on-pitch activities.”

Goalkeeper Jordan Archer could miss out on an emotional return to his former club due to a groin injury.

Harris said: “Jordan is still not on the training pitch. He is still a bit of a way off.

“What it means to him individually is driving him on but we do have to be sensible. We’ve got a lot of big games left.”
