LIAM UP FOUR IT!
Kid Marshall really cashes in
YOUNG Liam Marshall was in dreamland after dumping Warrington into more trouble.
The winger thought his Super League hopes were in ruins a few months ago and he was working as a trainee accountant.
But he has grabbed a second chance at Wigan with both hands and celebrated here in style with four sensational tries.
The 20-year-old, whose dad Dave played in the same Wigan side as coach Shaun Wane, only made his debut last week.
But this was the game he marked himself down as one to watch, with his first try coming after just six minutes.
Beaten
His second helped give Wigan a commanding first-half lead and his third and fourth proved second-half killers.
Warrington have now lost all four Super League games and are the only side in the competition without a point.
They looked a world away from the side who had brilliantly beaten Aussie outfit Brisbane Broncos in the World Club Series last month.
Sean O’Loughlin helped set up Marshall’s first two tries as well as one for Anthony Gelling.
George Williams turned on the magic and at this rate the stand-off is a shoo-in as England’s World Cup starter.
A grubber-kick put Marshall over, a short pass sent in Liam Farrell and a brilliant shimmy created the space for Jack Wells to score.
Ryan Atkins grabbed a first-half try for the Wolves.
And Rhys Evans and Tom Lineham went over for consolations after the break.
