A DESPERATE mum left fighting for life after a suspected “murder-suicide” attack made a plea for help on Facebook.

Sandie Rayne, 25, confessed online she wanted to “run away” before she was brutally beaten in her own home.

She suffered “extensive injuries” in the shocking attack, which happened in front of her two-year-old daughter.

She was discovered lying metres from the body of her former partner, named locally as Warren Hall, who is suspected of assaulting Sandie before taking his own life.

Injured

Officers went to the bungalow in Ashby, Leics, on Thursday afternoon. Medics then airlifted the injured mum to hospital.

Sandie updated her Facebook status the day before, saying she wanted to “run away… somewhere no one knows you or your business and just start all over again… if anyone knows a place let me know”.

On March 3, she wrote: “Don’t you wish you could just run away and hide where no one can find you ........ ”

Police refused to confirm if Hall attacked his ex before killing himself, but did confirm they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Relatives are caring for the tot. Sandie’s mother, Tracie, 46, said: “We hope Sandie pulls through.” Detective Chief Inspector Jonny Starbuck, who is leading the investigation, said: “We still have extensive further enquiries to make, both at the scene, and into the background of the man and woman involved.

“But at this stage I do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident.”
