Pervert wanted girl, 13, as wife

A MAN of 53 has been jailed for seducing a 13-year-old virgin.

Akhtar Hussain even proposed to his victim.

He offered to leave his wife and three children and take his young victim to Pakistan.

Hussain had met the girl in a park in Bradford.

He called the child his girlfriend, told her he loved her, and threatened to kill himself if she did not return his affections, a court heard.

He later told police: “She is like a granddaughter to me.”

Hussain, of Bradford, admitted sexual activity with a child.

Judge Roger Thomas QC said at the city’s crown court that although Hussain came to the UK from Pakistan around 1980, he still needed an interpreter for the court hearing.

He said there was a significant language barrier and it was hard to see how a “relationship” could have developed between them.

“You were 40 years her senior, that is a massive difference of age,” Judge Thomas said.

“Your interests were driven entirely by sexual gratification.”

He jailed Hussain for four and a half years.
