Cheltenham – The step up to this trip is likely to see further improvement from NEON WOLF, who has looked a class act. He eased to success at Exeter and was not inconvenienced by the drop back in trip at Haydock where he toyed with Elgin, beating him nine lengths. Ruby Walsh is on Bacardys after Willie Mullins whittled his five-day entry list of 20 down to four. That is no surprise as he is one of two in the field that has been successful at Grade One level, the other being Messire Des Obeaux. The latter failed by a neck to give Keeper Hill 12lb at Huntingdon but should get his revenge today and boasts place claims. Cheltenham – The front-running ACAPELLA BOURGEOIS could be a sitting duck for those with a turn of foot, but they will have to catch him first. He seems to have got his act together over fences judged on his last two starts at Navan. The latest was an awesome display with a round of bold and accurate jumping which saw him almost a fence clear before easing down for 32-length victory. If he gets an uncontested lead and into rhythm, he may prove difficult to pass. Might Bite would have beaten Royal Vacation at Kempton but for falling at the final fence with the race at his mercy. He has since had a confidence-building success at Doncaster and he remains a decent prospect. Bellshill disappointed last time but had won his two previous outings over fences and has to be considered. Cheltenham – He may be a tad short in the betting for such a competitive renewal but TOMBSTONE, pictured right, does possess a touch of class. He was fourth last year in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle behind the mighty Altior and this campaign has finished third to Jezki, who was in receipt of 6lb, at Navan before inflicting defeat on the same horse at Gowran Park. That form should see him go close. Victory for Willoughby Court in the opener would boost the chance of Peregrine Run, who finished third to that horse at Warwick which followed Grade Two success over today’s course and distance. He appears well treated on that evidence. Kalondra strolled to a Huntingdon win and is 12lb higher but hails from an in-form yard. He could make his presence felt along with Kempton scorer Modus, who has the useful Stan Sheppard taking 5lb off his back. Cheltenham – Look no further than DOUVAN. So far 11 horses have won the Arkle before going on to success in the Queen Mother Champion Chase and there is every chance Douvan will be the 12th. The horse is unbeaten since joining Willie Mullins, winning four over hurdles before switching to (%*' )%,' )%(' *%*'
